Privacy Policy

PlotWalk is made by LEX GLOBAL IT S.R.L., a company registered in Romania ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the PlotWalk app for iPhone and this website.

The short version

  • We don't collect any data. PlotWalk has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
  • Your measurements stay on your iPhone, or in your own iCloud account if you turn on iCloud sync.
  • We never see your location, your fields or your notes, and we never sell or share them.

What stays on your iPhone

  • Measurements and saved fields: the points you tap or walk (with the GPS accuracy of walked points), names, notes, colours, folders and fence estimates, including any prices you enter. They are stored on your device.
  • Your location: PlotWalk uses your location only on your device, to centre the map and to record a boundary when you walk it. It is never sent to us. If you have turned off Precise Location, the app may ask for precise location for the current walk only. With a Pro subscription, a walk can keep recording while the screen is locked, and only until you finish that walk.
  • Settings: your unit choices and similar preferences are stored on your device.

iCloud sync (Pro)

If iCloud sync is available and you turn it on, your fields are stored in your private iCloud database, which is part of your Apple Account. We cannot access it. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Apple services the app uses

PlotWalk uses Apple's own services, which Apple operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Apple Maps (MapKit): loads the satellite map and finds the addresses you search for.
  • App Store (StoreKit): handles subscriptions and purchases. We don't receive your payment details; the app only learns from Apple whether Pro is active on your device.
  • Notifications: if you start a free trial and allow notifications, the app schedules a reminder on your device two days before the trial ends.

Files you export

PDF reports, map images, KML, GeoJSON and CSV files are created on your device. They go only where you send them, for example Messages, Mail or Files.

If you email us

If you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than needed to help you, and never use it for marketing or share it with anyone else. You can ask us at any time to see or delete these messages.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts and loads nothing from other companies. Like any web host, our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time for security.

Your rights

Because PlotWalk doesn't collect personal data, there is normally nothing for us to give you, correct or delete: your data is on your own devices, and deleting the app (or a field) deletes it. For support emails, you have the rights given by data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation: to access, correct or delete your messages, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Romania that is the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

Children

PlotWalk is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at this address.
